Johnny Sutter and Kelly Johnson are the team behind William Tell leather Co., a small-batch leather goods shop based in Reno, Nevada. Our work is rooted in legacy, craftsmanship, and the belief that things should be made to last. We use traditional tools, minimal machines, and no shortcuts. Johnny grew up in his dad’s one-man upholstery shop, soaking in the scent of leather and the rhythm of skilled hands at work. Dad would hand me scraps to keep me busy, and I always reached for the leather. There was something about its feel, its smell, and the way it responded to time and touch that never left me. Full-grain leather is strong, authentic, and made to age beautifully. Every mark, bend, and scuff tells a story — one that evolves with you. We build goods with soul, intention, and staying power. Our products wear in not out.
